So we decided we needed a bit of a break from these four walls. Rising at 1.30am we headed off to Primrose Hill for Summer Solstice. Expecting it to be empty it was rather lively. Gangs of kids singing beneath the path lights in the dark and later this lovely chap named Gabriel who lit candles, saluted the sun with poems and a ringing bowl. It brought out my inner hippy and made our day, and it wasn’t yet 5am. This stuff has been happening for centuries; likely even before Coronavirus and hopefully still after it. Happy Solstice everyone and as the saying goes,‘It’s going to be a long day’.
